➡️ Esch Beach – Honor, MI 🌊
A stretch of sandy beach with stunning views of Sleeping Bear Dunes as a backdrop. Here Otter Creek gently empties into Lake Michigan, 3 miles South of Empire. @sleepingbearnps

➡️ British Landing – Mackinac Island, MI 🌊
Halfway around Mackinac Island is a rocky beach with magnificent views of Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge. Close by are bathrooms, a nature center, as well as, Cannonball a great place to grab a bite to eat. Ask about the island famous fried pickles! 🥒 @mackinacisle

➡️ Duck Lake Channel – Whitehall, MI 🌊
Tucked between sand dunes, where the creek meets Lake Michigan. The water is often warmer and calmer than the Great Lake itself and shallow enough for littles to play comfortably. @mistateparks

⛱️ Oval Beach in Saugatuck (Pic 1) – A classic, gorgeous Lake Michigan beach in a charming town. Check out @awesomemitten‘s stories today – I’m sharing all about our recent family adventure to Oval Beach!

⛱️ Olive Shores in West Olive (Pics 2 & 3) – Halfway between Holland and Grand Haven is a quieter Lake Michigan beach option. A short hike and stair climb through the wooded back dune takes you down to the beautiful shoreline.

⛱️ Millennium Park Beach & Splash Pad in Walker (Pics 4 & 5) – It’s tough to compete with the beauty of Lake Michigan, but this is a great inland lake option in West Michigan. The calm water is perfect for younger children. Plus, there’s an awesome splash pad and boat rentals available too!

Favorite Beaches from @frommichiganwithloveblog:

🌊 Lake Harbor Park in Norton Shores (pics 2-4)- which is my all time favorite beach! Challenge yourself by climbing up the dune, then wander through the forest before being greeted by the welcoming sounds and sights of Lake Michigan. Or be simple and just take the path to get to the beach. Either route, it’s a great place to walk the beach as the coastline goes for .75 miles.

🌊 Warren Dunes State Park in Sawyer (pics 5-8)- I can’t believe it’s taken so long for me to visit Warren Dunes! The beach here is endless. And even if it’s a busy, summer day, there is plenty of parking and sand to lay out on. Plus there are concessions, proper bathrooms, and even kayak and stand up paddle board rentals.

🌊 Pilgrim Haven Natural Area in South Haven (pics 1 & 9)- Beach rock collectors rejoice! I’ve found a great beach for you! Pilgrim Haven has a nice, good sized parking lot, trails and decent sized beach (considering the parking that’s available). Even on a hot summer Saturday, there were spots available. This is definitely not a lay out kind of beach so carry chairs, something to provide you some shade, and something to carry your new rock collection!

1️⃣ Clean and clear 💦 Spring Mill Pond in Brighton. This pond located at the back of Island Park State Recreation is clean, clear, and shallow, making it a great spot to take the kids to swim or float.

2️⃣ Pristine and local 🌊 Clover Beach in Linden. This beach is immaculate! With newly renovated bathrooms and plenty of larger trees for a shady picnic, this spot is quiet and has a beautiful beach area for kids to enjoy.

3️⃣ Quick getaway 🚙 Port Crescent State Park in Port Austin. This beach has plenty of soft sand to enjoy. With a large shaded pavilion and paths taking you to the beach, this is a great one for families to enjoy.
