If you're looking for family friendly fun, Frankenmuth, Michigan is the perfect getaway! It is one of my favorite local go-to vacation spots, for years we've been celebrating family birthdays at Zehnder's of Frankenmuth with delicious family style chicken dinner.
A great Indian tribe has established an amazing operation in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe started car bingo many moons ago and it has transformed into a world class entertainment venue, casino, waterpark, spa, campground and so much more. Mt. Pleasant is a premier travel destination in Mid-Michigan, you should come check it out!

Ever since I can remember, well since 1996 to be exact, I have been enjoying all that Soaring Eagle has to offer! I have stayed at Soaring Eagle Resort more times than I can count. I've went to countless concerts at Soaring Eagle Casino and celebrated so many birthdays there. Located on Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe Reservation in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. There is entertainment for the whole family, as well as other properties to explore, including a Cultural Museum, Waterpark and Campground.
Where and what is Scotland, USA, you say?... Let me tell you all about Alma - Scotland USA! In the middle of everything is Alma, Michigan, otherwise referred to as Scotland, USA! That's what the sign says, that's what we stick with and that's what we celebrate! Now is a great time to mention, if you haven't been to a Highland Festival yet, it's time you go!
For as long as I can remember, I looked forward to the time when Alma came alive to the sound of bagpipes. As a child, it wasn't uncommon to hear a bagpiper practicing off in the distance while playing at the many parks in town. And we were always looking forward to the annual Highland Festival and Games each Memorial Day Weekend!
See why the Village of Shepherd is the sweetest little town anywhere around. What may be surprising is Shepherd's History, it's rich and interesting. Fun fact: The village was actually named known as Salt River through the 1800's, then changed to Shepherd, after a notable man in town. So keep reading to see why you should stop by Salt River Park! A drive through Shepherd in early Spring, you will see signs of Maple Syrup all around town! Maple Bush trees are tapped around every corner! It's a village wide event.
