Visit Harmony Beach Park in Montego Bay, Jamaica in 2022.
The newest addition to Montego Bay’s beach scene, is Harmony Beach Park.
Brand new in 2021, the Harmony Beach Park complex is rejuvenating the South end of Montego Bay’s Hip Strip along Howard Cooke Boulevard.
Harmony Beach Park is a free, public access facility in Montego Bay, Jamaica. At Harmony Beach, you can find your adventure and immerse yourself in all things Jamaican – sun, sea and sand!
HOURS
The park is open 7 days a week, although each activity has it’s own set of hours, see below.
Our first visit, the beach area was closed. So I would advise to look ahead on the website or Facebook for the current hours. As of September 2022, the park is open Sunday to Saturday 6am-10pm, and Wednesday to Sunday from 9am-5pm.
PARKING
Entrance is free, parking is affordable at $200 JMD per hour for a car and $400 for buses. Daily rates are $700 JMD for a car and $2500 for buses.
Also, if the parking lot is full, there is a monitored parking lot across the street at KFC. Just by some food and walk across to Harmony Beach for a picnic!
BEACH
The park has modern bathroom facilities with showers and changing rooms.
There are limited shady areas on the beach, so an umbrella would be handy for those looking to escape the Montego Bay sun.
An umbrella and beach loungers are available for rent, for $500 JMD each.
Pair this park with any Chukka excursion, for a fun-filled adventure!
ACTIVITIES
There is also a large basketball court, running trail and a kid’s play area. Unfortunately, neither of these features were available during our visit, but the playground space is available through a booking system for private events only.

Kid’s play area hours are 8am-6pm and 8am-4pm on Sundays.
Plenty of grass space is available on the sprawling, shady green lawn. It is the perfect spot to lay out a blanket and enjoy picnic in the park. Or find a shady gazebo to hang out and relax.
FOOD & DRINK
We brought our own refillable water bottles, as we try to do our part to consume less one-use plastics.
There were two vendors on the property with drinks and food for sale.
The park is looking to fill vacant shops to be operated at Harmony Beach Park, interested tenants must be able to provide innovative, affordable, safe, and reliable services to park patrons.
There was a booth offering swim lessons, beach butler service and water supplies.
I look forward to visiting again in the next year to see what other activities are added and see the shops occupied by new tenants!
