A few of my favorite Christmas attractions in Michigan include:
Ashley Country Christmas 🎅🚂 Ashley, MI
Visit Ashley, Michigan for a magical trip back in time to the 1940’s. As the destination of the North Pole Express, the historic steam engine takes two trips per day, arriving in Ashley at 11am and 7pm, on Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 20 -Dec. 19. Ride the 1225 into town from Owosso or come in your own vehicle. Visit Santa for your chance to win the first gift of Christmas. Play carnival games, build a toy at Santa’s workshop, grab some yummy treats and gifts to take home.
Rooftop Landing Reindeer Farm 🦌🌲 Clare, MI
Visit Clare, Michigan this season to meet and feed reindeer, go on a Santa Jeep wagon ride around the farm, have donuts by the campfire, clowns, magic and so much more. Santa Jump In was rescheduled for Nov. 20. Watch Santa and a few of his bravest elf’s parachute to the farm. @rooftoplandingreindeerfarm
Christmas Tree Lighting & Bazaar 🎄🚒 Mackinac Island, MI
In the middle of Main Street, on Mackinac Island. The annual Christmas Tree Lighting begins at 5:30pm on Dec. 3. Followed with carol singing and holiday cheer. This event kicks off the 3-day annual Christmas Bazaar, a seasonal fundraiser benefiting the Mackinac Island Community. Important tip: last ferry boat leaving the island at 6:30 pm, Star Line Ferry to St. Ignace, if you are not staying on the island. @mackinacisle

🎄Candy Cane Lane in @discoverkzoo – Take a stroll in Bronson Park under giant candy canes then head over to the nearby historic Kalamazoo mall to go shopping & enjoy the sparkling lights.
🎄While in Kalamazoo, also make plans to visit Reindeer Ranch. Book a guided tour to learn about reindeer & interact with some of the herd. Tours last about 45 mins and cost $15 per person age 2 and up. There are also several cute photo stations set up!
🎄Make plans to check out the @springlakesparkle! New as of last year, 125k lights cover the trees and buildings along Savidge Street in downtown Spring Lake ever night between November 27 and January 3. On the weekends there are ‘Polar Express’ train rides for kids, pop up musical acts, food, ornament & other vendors. Adding to the charm, holiday music is played out on the streets!
