It's no surprise that Michigan is full of wonders and beautiful waters. However, winter in Michigan has no shortage of amazing activities and endless opportunities to wander and explore. Let's get out and make the most of the season!
Flamingo's are not native to the island, and can only be found in one spot. That spot is Renaissance Island which is owned by Marriott. If you stay at the Renaissance, admittance to the island is complimentary with your stay, and the water taxi can be boarded at the docks, or inside the hotel lobby. You read right, the boat comes inside the hotel lobby. Since we were staying at the Marriott Surf Club, we did have to pay $125/person to have the joyful experience of playing with the flamingos. Included in that fee was lunch and a drink at the restaurant located on the Island. One tip to remember is that if the Renaissance is fully booked, you won't have the option to purchase this day pass. It is only available if the hotel is at 80% capacity or less. So if this is an excursion you are determined to do, I would recommend staying at least one night at the Renaissance so that you're sure to get your chance to visit the Island.
Northern Switzerland's best kept secret is a charming medieval city nestled along the Upper Rhine River, home to the Munot Fortress and several baroque style buildings. The city of Schaffhausen is just as much captivating, as it is beautiful. Sunsets here are rather amazing! If you ever get the chance, you should go. Until then, enjoy my sunset photo tour around Schaufhaussen. Take a deep breath now because these images are quite incredible.
November is the perfect month to road trip from Phoenix up to Utah, but I bet there isn't a bad day in Arizona. Along Interstate 17 are several cities and amazing sights to see. Enjoy my favorite photos of Arizona.
Mackinac Island is located in Northern Michigan in the United States. The island is a unique place with a magical charm. Cars and motor vehicles are banned on the island, which makes things rather interesting. Tell me, what do you LOVE about Mackinac Island? 1. Love - Bicycles There really are no cars on the island. We all get around by foot, bike, horse and carriages. If you come, no you can't bring your car and yes, you have to leave it on the other side. Might as well make the best of it and rent a tandem to go around the island. I mean, why not? It's really fun though, kind of takes you back to the good ol days as a child when your bicycle was your first form of transportation.
